51 National Championships - Legendary Coaches - Hall of Fame Players - Orange Power!
Thank you for stopping by! I created this page for fellow Cowboys and vintage sports collectors. I think it is important to keep alive the memories of the sports stars and achievements in OSU's great athletic heritage...plus I really enjoy collecting, researching, and sharing these items!
About my collection: My favorite items are vintage Oklahoma A&M Aggies pieces. They are inherently historic and in the world of sports memorabilia, they are also quite hard to locate. Unlike many northern and eastern universities, there was never an abundance of memorabilia created in the early days of my alma mater. Oklahoma was a land of change in the early 1900's, comprised of struggling Dust Bowl farmers, Indian Territories, and the foundations of late statehood. Athletic programs were a luxury for the university to afford and spectators to attend. Souvenirs were scarce and often homemade. Oklahoma A&M rose to an athletic power during the war years of the 1940's and also saw many of its stars sent overseas. Despite the struggles, excellence was born. Coach Ed Gallagher virtually invented collegiate wrestling. Coach Henry Iba won the first back-to-back basketball national championships behind star Bob Kurland. Bob Fenimore led powerhouse football teams in 1944 and 1945 that only lost one game in that span, to an All-Star service team. In modern days, we've fielded football backfields with the likes of NFL Hall of Famers Thurman Thomas and Barry Sanders, sent basketball teams to the Final Four, and baseball teams to Omaha. The excellence across every sports discipline is what sets OSU apart and what makes being a Cowboy so rewarding!
On this page I have posted some of my favorite items from my collection.
I am always looking to buy or trade for rare Oklahoma State memorabilia. I have many items to exchange, including OSU, other colleges, and other types of vintage sports memorabilia. What do you collect?
